Myth-busting
Myth: Every Fever Must Be Forced Down Fast
Myth: If you don't aggressively lower a fever, something terrible will happen.
Please note: Educational content only — not medical advice. Always consult your pediatrician or OB-GYN. In an emergency, call emergency services. Full disclaimer
Fever is often a response to infection. Comfort, hydration, and knowing red flags matter. Aggressive home 'cures' can be risky.
Soft approach
Light layers, fluids, rest, and call your pediatrician per their fever guidance — especially for young infants.
Emergency
Hard breathing, extreme lethargy, or infants under 3 months with fever: seek care / call 911 when appropriate.
